In point of fact, on this blog, I&#039;ve set links in comment authors&#039; names to be nofollow-free, for the sake of good online karma. It&#039;s just links *within* a comment that keep the default nofollow status; it&#039;s a spam deterrent measure, as even a modest blog like this one has to weed out a surprising level of comment spam.</description>
